Overview
Camp Wenonah is a beautiful outdoor property located just 10 minutes from the Winona Family YMCA. Active YMCA members may request permission to use Camp’s trail systems for select recreational activities, while facilities, gathering spaces, and adventure experiences are available to rent.
Whether you’re looking to hike the trails, gather with a group, or take on the ropes course, there are a variety of ways to enjoy Camp Wenonah throughout the year.
Access Requests
Active Winona Family YMCA members may request free access to Camp Wenonah’s trail systems with written permission for:
- Hiking
- Mushroom hunting & foraging
- Mountain biking
- Seasonal snowshoeing
- Seasonal cross-country skiing
These activities are limited to the trail systems; Camp facilities, equipment, and other amenities require a rental.
Written YMCA approval must be received before accessing Camp Wenonah. The Winona Family YMCA reserves the right to revoke access, including in cases of property misuse or damage.

Camp Wenonah offers outdoor spaces, facilities, and adventure experiences for groups looking to gather, celebrate, or enjoy Camp together. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.

A 20% discount is applied to the hourly rate for rentals of four or more hours or recurring rentals.
Additional amenities available for rent include the fire pit and Gaga Ball pit.
Ropes Courses & Challenges
Camp Wenonah also offers facilitated low ropes, high ropes, climbing, and challenge experiences. All ropes courses, climbing, and high-element rentals include trained and certified staff.

Packages include different combinations of low ropes, high elements, climbing, and zipline experiences based on the package selected.
Help us take care of Camp Wenonah so the property and trails can continue to be enjoyed by our community.
While using Camp Wenonah:
- Complete a Camp orientation with YMCA staff.
- Hike only on designated trails.
- Follow the seven Leave No Trace Principles.
- Pack out all waste; no trash should be left at Camp.
- Leave Camp property in the condition you found it.
- Report any damage or changes in trail or property conditions to the YMCA.
- Do not use glitter, feathers, paint, or tape on walls.
If you notice a maintenance issue, contact camp@winonaymca.org or 507-454-1520 so the YMCA can address it and help maintain safe access to the property.
Request Access
To request access to the Camp Wenonah trail system, please complete the access request form. You must receive written approval from the YMCA before you can access the property.
Recommendation: For the sake of consistency both with the rest of the site and in terms of information collected, strongly recommend setting up a Google form to collect info and have that form email to whoever needs to receive it.
Submit A Rental Request
Please complete the rental request form if you are interested in renting any of our facilities such as the fire pit, ropes courses, amphitheater, pavilion, and/or barn with bathroom and kitchen access.
Access Liability Waiver
All non-member guests ages 18 and older must show a photo ID and have a current Liability Waiver on file. A parent or legal guardian must complete the Liability Waiver for participants under age 18.

YMCA Camp Wenonah is located on 140 acres just outside of the city of Winona at 31903 Camp Drive.
