Overview
Summer Care provides a fun, safe, and welcoming place for kids to spend their summer at the Y. Participants enjoy a variety of activities throughout the summer, including swimming, field trips, outdoor games, arts and crafts, trips to Lake Park, special activities, and plenty of time to play and connect with others.
Summer Care is available for children who are at least 5 years old and entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall.

- Ages/Grades: Ages 5+ entering Kindergarten–6th grade
- Program Dates: June 8–August 21
- Hours: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Location: Winona Family YMCA, 902 Parks Avenue
- Schedule Options: Register for 2–5 days per week
- Closed: Friday, July 3
Meals & Snacks
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Participants should bring their own cold lunch each day.
Rates & Payment Info
Rates
- Member: $32/day
- Non-Member: $36/day
- Registration Fee: $25/child, one-time and nonrefundable
- Late Registration Processing Fee: $15
- Additional Children: 20% discount for additional children enrolled from the same household
Participants must have an active YMCA membership at the time of registration to receive the member rate.
Registration Requirements
Registration can be completed online or at the YMCA Front Desk. Emergency contact and payment information must be completed before care begins.
Current immunization records are required before your child's first day of care.
Payment
All Summer Care participants must have a payment method on file before care begins. If a payment is returned or funds are unavailable, families have seven days from the original payment date to submit payment. If payment is not received within seven days, the child will be removed from the program until payment is received.

Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Please review the following deadlines when canceling or changing scheduled Summer Care:
- Contracted Care: Cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance to receive a full refund.
- Weekly Care: Cancellations must be made at least eight business days before the start of care to receive a refund.
- Changes to Care: Changes or cancellations to scheduled days or weeks of care must be provided to the program director at least two weeks in advance.
- Illness: Refunds are not provided for days missed due to illness.
- Health Screening: If a child is unable to attend care based on health screening results, a prorated refund will be provided for missed days.

Each day includes a mix of structured activities, active play, creative time, meals and snacks, and opportunities for kids to relax and spend time with friends.

- 7:00–8:00 AM: Drop-Off & Morning Activities
- 8:00–8:30 AM: Morning Snack
- 8:30–9:30 AM: Crafts
- 9:30–10:00 AM: Reading
- 10:00–11:30 AM: Swimming or Structured Indoor/Outdoor Games
- 11:30 AM–12:30 PM: Lunch
- 12:30–2:30 PM: Special Projects, Organized Games and/or Crafts
- 2:30–3:30 PM: Snack
- 3:30–4:30 PM: Reading and/or Board Games
- 4:30–5:30 PM: Free Play
