Using Your Nationwide Membership.

Nationwide Membership makes it easier to stay active when you’re away from home by providing eligible YMCA members access to participating Y locations across the country at no additional cost.

Winona YMCA Members Traveling

Your Winona Family YMCA membership gives you access to participating Nationwide YMCA locations while you travel. Before visiting another Y, we recommend contacting that location or checking its website for hours, amenities, schedules, and local policies, as these may differ from the Winona Family YMCA.

When visiting another participating Y:

  • Check with the Y in advance about available facilities, programs, schedules, and any restrictions.
  • Bring your YMCA membership card and photo ID.
  • Let staff know you are visiting through Nationwide Membership.
  • Complete any waivers or other forms required by the Y you are visiting.
  • Follow the policies and procedures of the visiting Y.

Visiting the Winona Family YMCA

If you’re an eligible member of another YMCA, you can use your membership at the Winona Family YMCA through Nationwide Membership.

When you arrive:

  • Present your YMCA membership card and photo ID.
  • Sign the Winona Family YMCA Liability Waiver. Your signature is valid for the calendar year.
  • Our staff will confirm your Nationwide Membership eligibility and check you into the Nationwide Membership database.
  • Review the Winona Family YMCA's facility policies and guidelines before using the facility.

What You Need To Know

Nationwide Membership is available to active, full-facility YMCA members whose home Y participates in Nationwide Membership. A few additional guidelines apply:

  • Nationwide Members must use their home Y at least 50% of the time.
  • Insurance-based memberships, including SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit, and similar programs, may not be eligible for Nationwide Membership. Check with your insurance-based program for information about access to multiple facilities.
  • Special memberships established for group homes, agencies, or similar organizations may not be eligible.
  • When visiting another Y, you may be asked to provide your membership card, photo ID, and basic membership information such as your name and email address.
  • Members may be required to sign a liability waiver and privacy policy.
  • Nationwide Members generally have access to services typically included with a standard membership. Programs, amenities, schedules, and availability vary by location.
  • Membership add-ons, such as towel service or 24/7 Access, do not transfer to other YMCA locations.
  • Nationwide Members visiting another Y for more than 28 days may be required to transfer their membership affiliation for continued use.
  • Participating Ys reserve the right to restrict or revoke Nationwide Membership privileges.
  • Registered sex offenders are prohibited from participating.
