Program Overview
The Winona Family YMCA offers a variety of spaces for meetings, celebrations, practices, group activities, and other gatherings. From active spaces like the pool, gymnasium, and Family Fun Center to flexible meeting and event space, rental options are available for a variety of group sizes and needs.
What To Know
- Rental requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. We will respond to initial requests within 72 hours, but additional time may be needed to confirm availability. Submitting a request does not guarantee a reservation.
- Events and parties do not include YMCA staff hosts.
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your rental. The remaining balance is due 15 days before the event.
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least eight days before the rental to receive a full refund.
- Rentals outside regular YMCA hours may be available depending on staff availability and are subject to an additional $40 per hour fee.
- YMCA spaces may not be rented for sales, promotions, fundraising, competing programming, or political campaigning.
- Food and beverages other than water are not permitted in the pool, gymnasium, or Family Fun Center.
- Feathers, glitter, paint, and tape on walls are not permitted in rental spaces.
- Special rental pricing is available for community partners, educational institutions, and nonprofits.
Guest Waivers & Screening Process
The Winona Family YMCA is proudly accredited by Praesidium for our work in child abuse prevention. As a commitment to our Praesidium work, we require a screening process for all individuals 18 and older.
- A photo ID must be shown, and a Liability Waiver must be signed by each nonmember individual 18+ attending a rental.
- A Liability waiver must be signed by the legal parent/guardian of children under 18 attending a rental/party.

The Family Fun Center (FFC) is designed for active play and big imaginations for children up to age 11. The space features a multi-level play structure, a small bouldering wall, and a variety of floor toys, making it a fun option for birthday parties, group gatherings, and family events.

Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Y closes at 2:00 PM on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.

The Clara Barton Room is a bright, flexible space located next to the main lobby and is ideal for meetings, celebrations, showers, and other gatherings. The room features natural light and a small kitchenette with a sink and refrigerator for refreshments and simple catering needs.

The pool provides a supervised aquatic space for group gatherings, practices, and celebrations. Rental options can accommodate different group sizes and include designated swim lanes and YMCA lifeguards. All participants must follow YMCA pool rules and complete swim tests when applicable.

Before Your Pool Rental
Please review our Pool Rules before your rental and share them with everyone attending. Children should arrive with their swimsuits on under their clothes so they are ready to enter the pool.
- All children will complete a swim test. Children who do not pass must remain in the shallow end.
- Children ages 7 and under must have an adult in the pool with them at all times.
- Life jackets must be Coast Guard approved. Noodles, water wings, and other inflatables are not permitted as flotation devices.
- One adult may be responsible for no more than two non-swimmers.
The Fitness Studio is a bright, open space featuring natural light and mirrored walls, making it a flexible option for fitness activities, practices, meetings, and other group uses.

The gymnasium offers a flexible space for games, practices, tournaments, and other recreational or organized activities. Rentals include access to basketball hoops and pull-out bleachers, with pickleball and volleyball nets also available.

Submit Your Rental Request

Access Liability Waiver
All non-member guests ages 18 and older must show a photo ID and have a current Liability Waiver on file. A parent or legal guardian must complete the Liability Waiver for participants under age 18.

The Clara Barton Room is a bright and welcoming space filled with beautiful natural light. Fully handicap accessible, and adjacent to the main lobby, it offers comfort and convenience for all guests.
Pool
Our pool rental option is perfect for small group gatherings, team practices, or special celebrations. Each rental includes one designated lifeguard and access to two swim lanes.
Gymnasium
Our gymnasium rental offers access to basketball hoops and pull-out bleachers for spectators. The space also includes access to pickleball and volleyball nets, making it ideal for games, practices, tournaments, or group activities.
