Overview

After School Care provides a safe and welcoming place for children in grades K–6 to spend their afternoons while school is in session. Kids have opportunities for games, outdoor and gym time, swimming, arts and crafts, team building, homework time, and a healthy snack while building friendships and developing lifelong skills.

  • Program Dates: August 31–May 28
  • Registration Dates: June 1–August 24
  • Schedule: Families may choose the number of days care is needed.
  • Swimming: YMCA location participants will have opportunities to swim throughout the school year.

Open to students from most public and private schools.

Bluffview Montessori
2:00–5:30 PM
Available to Bluffview Montessori families only. Registration is limited.

Rates, Registration & Payment

Families may choose the number of days care is needed, with daily rates available for YMCA members and non-members.

Rates

  • Member: $10/day
  • Non-Member: $11/day
  • Annual Registration Fee: $15/child
  • Late Registration Processing Fee: $15
  • Additional Children: 15% discount for additional children enrolled from the same household

Participants must have an active YMCA membership at the time of registration to receive the member rate. Financial Assistance is available for qualifying families, and the application process is easy and confidential.

Registration Requirements

Registration can be completed online or at the YMCA Front Desk. Emergency contact and payment information must be completed before care begins.

Current immunization records are required before your child's first day of care.

A $15 processing fee applies to late registrations.

Payment

A payment method must be on file before the first month of care. If a payment is returned or funds are unavailable, families have seven days from the original payment date to submit payment. If payment is not received within seven days, the child will be removed from the program until payment is received.

Transportation

Transportation to the YMCA is provided by Winona Area Public Schools (WAPS).

Families must select either home or the YMCA as their child's drop-off location. WAPS may accommodate separate drop-off arrangements for children in split-family households.
